Background
Refreshing the UX Strategy
We aimed to enhance the product with a refreshed user experience architecture, a cohesive design system, and a more intuitive UI while optimizing design operations to better align with organizational goals and execution constraints.
My Contributions
I was responsible for gathering and leveraging information to create designs and seeing if they worked.
1
Owned wireframes & prototypes as the primary designer.
2
Conducted stakeholder interviews to understand current and new segment personas.
3
Built & ran user tests, iterating on designs based on feedback.
UX Research
Users need a consistent, intuitive, and seamless experience across the product.
Fragmented module experience
Clients felt that parts of the workflow were disjointed and would appreciate better module integration.
Inconsistent UI across modules
Users struggled with differing interactions across modules as their expectations of actions were often not met.
Lack of direction in UI
Users highlighted the need for clear, intuitive actions within the platform, ensuring they know exactly what steps to take next to complete their tasks efficiently.
Design Approach
Prioritizing areas to address and concept solutioning led to wireframing and testing.
We synthesized findings from research and used dot voting to prioritize key issues and solutions. Through iterative ideation and wireframing, we continuously validated designs with users and stakeholders to ensure alignment and refine the product.
Version 1
Version 2
From user testing through the prototype, we identified that Items of Interests is more of a priority for users and needs the ability to be filtered and actionable.
01
Hub / Control Center
A customizable hub that streamlines task management, provides easy access to key information, and integrates modules for a more cohesive workflow, addressing client concerns about disjointed processes.
02
Clear Next Action with Design System
Standardized complex interactions, simplified key information, and consolidated features to resolve UI inconsistencies and align actions with user expectations across modules.
03
In-Page Actions
Users can complete tasks across modules within the page, with a slide-out pattern for easy reference to current information. This solution improves affordance by providing clear, intuitive actions, helping users efficiently navigate and complete tasks.
